Welcome to the AHS website.

Authentic Heritage Services Pty Ltd is a small regional heritage consultancy practice based in Geelong that was established in 1997.  AHS specialises in built heritage and architectural history, particularly within regional Victoria.  With all projects, AHS aims to carry out projects:

1. To a high standard.
2. In accordance with the Australia ICOMOS Burra Charter.
3. In consultation with clients (to find solutions to clients’ needs).
4. To agreed timeframes.

The Director is Dr David Rowe, B.A. (Arch.), B. Arch. (Hons. 1), PhD (Arch.), M.ICOMOS.  Over the past 25 years, David has prepared a large range of local government heritage studies, conservation management plans and other heritage assessments on thousands of places across Victoria and he has authored a number of heritage publications.  He is currently the Heritage Advisor to the City of Greater Geelong, Golden Plains Shire and Surf Coast Shire.  David is a course presenter for the PLANET training programs offered by the Planning Institute of Australia, and a guest lecturer and specialist supervisor at La Trobe and Deakin Universities.

Also part of AHS is Pam Jennings, researcher and historian.  The practice also regularly works in association with Wendy Jacobs, Architect and Heritage Consultant of Ballarat.
